This limited warranty applies only to the supply and installation of shingles and does not cover any labor or material required with respect to the roof deck, roof trusses or rafters.
Before hiring a roofing contractor, ask the right questions. A roof repair or replacement is too important to leave to vague answers, unclear warranties, or rushed estimates. A professional roofing company should be able to explain the problem, the options, the materials, the cost factors, and the warranty in plain language.
Professional Roofers is a licensed and insured roofing company in Toronto serving homeowners and businesses across the GTA with roof repair, roof replacement, flat roofing, emergency roof repair, commercial roofing, eavestroughs, skylights, soffit, fascia, attic ventilation, and insulation.
Ask for proof of insurance and make sure the contractor can explain how your property and the crew are protected during the project.
A written estimate should explain the scope of work, materials, labour, warranty, payment terms, timeline, and cleanup. Avoid vague estimates with unclear inclusions.
A contractor should explain why a specific material is suitable for your roof, budget, slope, exposure, and long-term needs. Professional Roofers is IKO Premier Craftsman certified. Learn more on the credentials and certifications page.
Ask what is covered by the manufacturer, what is covered by workmanship, and whether registration is required. Review roofing warranty information.
Ask who will be on the job, who supervises the project, and who you contact if there are questions during the work.
Roofing projects involve materials, nails, disposal, ladders, and cleanup. Ask how landscaping, driveways, eavestroughs, siding, and surrounding areas will be protected.
Sometimes roof deck damage, rot, or ventilation problems are discovered after materials are removed. Ask how these issues are handled and priced.
Ask whether the contractor has experience with your specific project:
Ask when the work can start, how long it may take, and how weather could affect scheduling.
Cleanup should be part of the project. Ask about debris removal, nail cleanup, disposal, and final inspection.

PROFESSIONAL ROOFERS (a division of UXDU Contracting Inc.) offers one of the best residential and commercial warranties around.
Whereas most warranties cover only labour charges, leaving the customer to pay for material, tear off and disposal, Professional Roofers strives to go the extra mile and provide the customer with peace of mind and offers a non-prorated* warranty.
Our non-prorated* warranty covers: LABOUR, MATERIALS, TEAR OFF, and DISPOSAL.
If you have problems with your new roof and which relates to a defect in the materials. Professional Roofers will cover you according to the manufacturer’s warranty specifications for the materials we used on your house or building if the manufacturer fails to fulfil its own warranty for some reason other than the act(s) or default(s) of the customer.
ROOF SHINGLES: Our non-prorated* warranty is from 10 to 15 years depending on the package you choose when you sign the contract.
METAL ROOF: Our non-prorated* warranty is 15 years depending on the package you choose when you sign the contract. Our warranty does not cover animal damage, wind damage or any other acts of Mother Nature, discolouration, fading, corrosion, rust, fire, falling objects, or if the roof is mishandled, modified, or altered.
FLAT ROOF: We offer a five (5) year limited* warranty with respect to defects in installation.
EAVESTROUGH AND METAL WORK: We offer a five (5) year limited* warranty with respect to defects in installation and a twenty-five (25) year limited* warranty with respect to defects in materials.
SMALL REPAIRS: Normally we offer a one (1) year warranty for the area which we repair, only. However, if the problem occurs again during the one (1) year period, we are always willing to go back one more time to try and find a solution free of charge. If the problem continues thereafter, Professional Roofers will usually suggest a larger repair or new installation for which there will be an additional charge. If a whole new roof is required, the fee for the repair previously charged will be deducted from cost of the new roof.
