Location: Toronto, Ontario
Project Type: Residential Roof Replacement
Roofing System: Asphalt Shingles
Status: Completed
Professional Roofers recently completed this residential roof replacement in Toronto, replacing the existing asphalt shingle roof with a new roofing system.
The property features a multi-section roof with several slopes, hips, valleys, roof vents and chimney penetrations. The project photographs show the original weathered roof and the completed installation, providing a clear before-and-after view of the work.
As experienced roofing contractors in Toronto, Professional Roofers provides residential roof repairs, shingle roofing and full roof replacement services throughout Toronto and the GTA.
The original roof featured older tan-coloured asphalt shingles across the home's multiple roof planes. The aerial photographs show visible wear across the existing roofing surface, including several patched areas around the roof's central sections.
The replacement involved installing a new asphalt shingle system across the property's different roof sections while maintaining the existing architectural layout.
The new blue-grey shingles create a consistent finished appearance across the main roof, including the various hips, valleys and roof transitions.
The original roof had several intersecting roof planes, chimney penetrations and ventilation components. Its complex layout required the new shingles to follow the existing roof geometry.
The completed photographs show new asphalt shingles installed across the main roof sections.
The installation follows the home's existing hips and valleys and integrates the roofing around the chimneys, vents and other roof penetrations.
The finished blue-grey shingle colour also provides a noticeable visual change from the previous tan/brown roof.
The completed Toronto roof replacement gave the home a refreshed and uniform asphalt shingle roofing system while maintaining its existing design.
This project is a good example of why residential roof replacement involves more than simply changing the visible shingles. Multiple roof planes, valleys, hips, chimneys and ventilation points all need to be incorporated into the finished roofing system.
If you're deciding between repairing an aging roof and replacing it, Professional Roofers also provides shingle roof repair services in Toronto. When deterioration is more widespread, shingle roof replacement services may be the more appropriate solution.
